“While visiting Wapiti Woods, we experienced the peace, relaxation, elk, local vineyards and towns as well as enjoyed all the modern conveniences of home.”
Ralph & Brenda Silks Red Lion, Pa Guests – May 7 – 9, 2004
“Thanks Steve and Coleen for your “home away from home.” Your cabin rooms were very comfortable and your service outstanding. You made my wilderness adventure a trip to remember. Looking forward to my next adventure.”
Tom Michel Chardon, OH Guest - April 12 – 13, 2004
“Our stay at Wapiti Woods was fantastic! The area is fascinating, with the elk, and the cabin was first class. I’ll be back!”
Chris Hall Pittsburgh, PA Guest – Dec. 31 – Jan. 2, 2004
“Our stay at Wapiti Woods was everything we had hoped it would be – a private, peaceful, romantic weekend get-away at a beautiful cabin stocked with cooking supplies, firewood and an inviting whirlpool tub. The whole experience was pleasurable – spending time with the horses at the home base, walking the wagon down the trail to our cabin, honing our woodburner fire-making skills and exploring the scenic surrounding area. We plan on coming back again, for sure!”
Greta & Anthony Paterra Pittsburgh, PA Guest - Feb. 25 – 27, 2004
"My husband and I enjoyed a delightful stay at Wapiti Woods. The cabin was beautiful, comfortable and immaculate. What a nice change from the standard motel room. There were handmade rugs on the floor and lovely etched class doors on the cabins. We plan to come back soon!”
Alice Hertzler Dillsburg, PA Guest – Feb. 27 – 29. 2004
“Wapiti Woods provided the perfect rustic base camp, with charm and stylish comfort, for our elk watching adventures. It was the perfect natural get-away for my family and friends.”
Nita Setina Annapolis, MD Guest – Jan. 16 – 19, 2004
“What a great little place! The wood burner and absolutely beautiful cabin set the mood for relaxation!!! Wonderful people to deal with as well!!!!”

“While planning to visit our old hometown to attend a wedding, we were looking for an alternative to relative’s house or local hotels. We chose Wapiti woods and were glad we did. We were close to the event, comfortable in our cabin in the woods and able to check out the elk herds. Thanks Steve and Coleen!”
Shawn Malone Roanoke, VA Guest – Jun 18 – 24, 2004
“We spent a cozy, romantic winter weekend at Wapiti Woods. Our wonderful hosts thought of absolutely everything!!! We saw lots of wildlife - - - loved the elk! We want to return to see each season in this remarkable place.”
Regis Ruskauff Pittsburgh, PA Guest – Feb. 11 – 14, 2004
“I’ve escaped to Wapiti Woods in the middle of the winter and at the height of summer and I expect to return again and again. The cabins are first class, the woods are deep and lovely, and the owners are accommodating.”
Tom Petzinger Pittsburgh, PA Guest – Nov 29 - Dec 8, Jul 2 – 4, 2004
“Our family spent a peaceful and relaxing weekend at Wapiti Woods. It is close to the elk viewing areas in Benezette and close to country stores and eating-places. The cabins are beautifully constructed, well maintained and beautifully decorated down to the last detail. There are great walking paths, the sound of rushing water to soothe you, peacefulness, quiet and calm. The arrangement of the cabins gives privacy or, if you want, a chance to socialize with your camping neighbors. From eating breakfast on the porch swing to cooking hot dogs over the last campfire of the day, Wapiti Woods is a great place to be.”
The Ron Karns Family Enola, PA Guests – Apr. 30 – May 2, 2004
“The cabins are exceptionally nice, very clean and well furnished. The location is perfect for a relaxing get-away in the out of doors.”
Jim and Nancy Mauk Treasure Lake, DuBois, PA Guest – May 21 – 23,2004 & Nov 26 – 30, 2004
“My girlfriend and I celebrated our 2nd anniversary in one of your romantic cabins. We could not think of anywhere we would rather have spent our weekend. The cabin was fantastic. We took advantage of the whirlpool tub, woodburner and pie irons. We went on a hike along the creek and, that evening, on a 15-minute drive we saw over 20 elk. We were even able to walk within 40 feet of one pair! Thank you for an amazing weekend!”
